Bharathanatyam Workshop

The second workshop of the Kalakunj led SHAKTI: The Divine Energy and Power project supported by an Arts Council England grant was held successfully on 18/19 September 2021. The Bharatanatyam workshop was led by the multifaceted dance and music practitioner, Divya Kasturi, who introduced the attendees to the intricacies of the dance style from the southern part of India, chanting of the powerful sound of ‘Aum’ followed by a beautiful dance piece, KALI KOWTHUVAM invoking the divine, feminine energy or SHAKTI through rhythmic movements.
